Home to Rome in 4 Ddys

In conjunction with Key 103 and to support their charity “Cash for Kids” J Davidson’s, Daredevils team , Paul, David, Andrew and Martyn have entered the Home 2 Rome Banger Rally.

29 teams set off from Calais on 25th July and hope to arrive in Rome on 29th July, hence the name Home to Rome in 4 days.

The Home2Rome Banger Rally is modelled on the Grand Tour. The Grand Tour began in the 17th Century and involved young English Gentlemen travelling to Paris, Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome over 3-4 years, taking in and celebrating the culture as they went.

The Home 2 Rome Banger Rally follows the same route but in 4 days. Participants are given cultural tasks to complete each day and are awarded points for each task completed. The winner of the rally is the team who crosses the finishing line with the most points.

The team have so far raised over £7,000 for “Cash for Kids” and counting.
