Yellow and blue will be the predominant colours tonight at The J.Davidson Stadium as Altrincham show their support for Ukraine alongside Chesterfield.
Having already launched their Ukraine appeal, including a dedicated crowdfunding page, Alty FC are also taking delivery of items that they will transport to where the support is desperately needed.
As Ukraine and it’s residents continue to come under harrowing attacks, Altrincham Football Club are extending their show of solidarity for the people and friends of Ukraine.
The Robins plan to ditch the signature red and white look when they come up against promotion-chasing Chesterfield this evening, and instead will don the yellow and blue away strip.
To magnify their support, the club will display a number of Ukrainian flags at the match. Ahead of kick-off, the young fans greeting the squad will all wave the yellow and blue flags.
The Community Sports Hall will house a collection for Ukraine, where anything from scarves to first-aid supplies are welcomed. Supporters of Altrincham and Chesterfield are urged to get behind the initiatives if they can.
It would be great to see Alty supporters in their away strips or sporting some blue and yellow. You can donate to the appeal and find out more here:
