J Davidson are proud to be associated with up and coming USA Sprintcar and NASCAR, driver, 24 year old Kevin Swindell from Tennessee, USA.

Kevin has been racing since the age of 5 and was destined to be a race car driver as he is the son of three-time National Sprint Car Champion, Sammy Swindell.

At 24 Kevin has had an outstanding career with 77 wins in Sprints, Midgets, Mini-Sprints, Karts, Quarter Midgets and Road Race Karts. He is also 3 time consecutive winner of the Chili Bowl Championships, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the race in 2010, the first back to back winner in 2011 and the first three in a row winner in 2012.

Last Sunday the 4th August 13, Swindell took first place in the Capitani Classic at the Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, USA. He dominated from the start of the 25 lap race, that is a tribute to the former race Director of the Knoxville Raceway, Ralph Capitani.

He crossed the line 2.8 seconds ahead of runner up Justin Henderson. Kevin commented “From the first lap, I knew it was really good. I just kept telling myself to breath.”

Jamie Davidson is travelling to the Knoxville USA today where he will meet with the young racing driver and see the J Davidson logo emblazoned on his race car and drivers shirt; Jamie commented “Kevin’s a fantastic driver and has a bright future ahead of him, with his background he could be one of the greats.”

As you may know Jamie’s son, Luke Davidson races F1 stock cars here in the UK and is also sponsored by his father’s scrap metal processing company. By sponsoring a driver across the pond, Jamie is opening the door to countless opportunities in the future with the sheer amount of people that will see the J Davidson logo from now on.

Good luck for the rest of the season Kevin!
